I previously wrote a blog post at the beginning of April, discussing the use of not using commercial shampoos and conditioners (click here to read it). It has been 2 months since I stopped using chemicals in my hair, and I have been getting great results. My "No Poo" JourneyI first started my “No Poo” Journey with the use of baking soda and apple cider vinegar. I noticed a difference in my scalp no longer being as itchy, but my hair was still oily. When you transition to the “No Poo” method the oil that your hair produces called Sebum, is a natural moisturizer that your hair produces. Cleaning this oil from your hair is damaging. In the “No Poo” method, you learn how to use this Sebum oil properly to moisturize your hair with a process called “Scritch & Preen.” It took me a while to figure out how to do this right for my hair, even with watching the YouTube video. Now I’m starting to get the hang of it, the more and more I do it. I now have moved on to washing my hair with eggs. My hair has been so much easier to manage and looks amazing. Every 10 ten days I wash my hair with eggs. I mix 2 eggs in a bowl and add 1 tsp of Lavender Essential Oil. I wet my hair with very cold water and then add the egg mix to my hair. I let the mixture sit on my hair for 15 minutes and then rinse it out with very cold water. Comb my hair and I’m done! Benefits of Washing Your Hair With Egg
